FACT: Rebecca Sugar had initially intended for Greg to lose a leg in Ocean Gem instead of just breaking it, and for him to get a robotic prosthetic (that occasionally malfunctioned, which would’ve been the far fucking superior impetus for House Guest); however, this was shot down by the other head writers, who deemed the idea of dismemberment to be too dark.
