I hope you don’t mind me asking, but I’m truly confused. If we’re able to choose our gender/pronouns, why is Merlin referred to as male in the introduction? This is in no way an attack or short handed! I really am just asking!

Also very excited for this IF! I love the show Merlin, so this is a dream come true!

Merlin presents as a man on their travels to Camelot as it’s safer, but then things happen and suddenly Merlin has been appointed as Arthur’s manservant by the King, and they’re just kind of stuck. They could explain the misunderstanding, but Uther doesn’t have the right temperament for that. So they just have to deal best they can.

What made you choose Eleanor Lily as the replacement name for Harry? I’m genuinely interested!

I wanted a name that wasn't derivative of Harry as I wanted it clear very early on that while Lily is a "Harry" she is very different from him and only has his role in society.

But I wanted a name that sounded similar and had a similar feel to it. "Harry James" made picking Lily as a middle name an easy grab and Eleanor being able to be shortened to "Ellie" had the right sound to it.

Yeah lol. It’s called The Bubble, and it’s got quite a few A-list names on its roster, including Pedro. You can find more about it online, but from the little we know about it, it’s supposed to be a comedy about a group of actors filming a movie while quarantined in a hotel.

it’s referred to a couple times -- in chapter one I mention that her skin tone matches Javier’s, and a few other descriptors scattered in chapters two and three. 

But please don’t feel bad! I miss things when I read fics all the time. :’)

Genuinely curious, I’m not second questioning it, I merely thought they were pale because that’s how GRRM describes. As well as having blonde hair and light eyes. I am confusion.

light-skinned and light eyes does not mean white. i go into some detail about dornish ethnicity in this meta here :)
