And it’s accompanied by a small burst of laughter, lips parting and twisting around the sound into a slightly hyperactive smile. Long past the time they all should have crashed, sees the othersleeping forms of her friends scattered around the room - and it’s only Hannah and her still conscious. She’d tried shushing the other girl, giggles escaping, but to no avail.

                 What a buzzkill.

No. 13. Jawline kiss.

     Matt wasn’t sure how it had happened, but here they were,     making out on her couch, arms encasing one another,     completely ignoring anything that might be playing in the     background. Right now it was just the two of them, and they     were alone, obvious to the world around them. Matt     wouldn’t take it too far, but nothing were wrong with make-     out sessions, and Hannah definitely didn’t seem to mind.     In all honesty, Matt had been a little hesitant to kiss her,     even though he had before, he was still adjusting. Hannah     was his best friend, and he didn’t want to mess anything     up (even though he was bound to eventually.)     Eventually, the kiss had to be broken; they needed air.     Matt’s lips burned with a tingling sensation as he leaned     in again, but this time to pepper a few light kisses along     Hannah’s jawline. Against her skin he murmurs,

     ❝I love you, Hannah.❞     She knew this already though, right? They were best friends,     after all. Matt knew he’d always felt it. He knew he’d loved     her for a while now, even if he’d never said it out loud with      this type of meaning before. He loved her. That would never     change.

I. Just friends.

     Hannah was his friend. Best friend, as a matter of fact. The     hung out quite often, and Matt always found himself getting     along so much better with Hannah and the other girls than     any of the guys in their group. It should’ve come as no     surprise when Matt slowly began to develop a tiny crush     on Hannah, but he wouldn’t show it. They were just friends.     He didn’t want to ruin that. Still, he’d find himself cuddling     with her on the couch, giving her hugs that lasted longer     than normal, and holding hands occasionally. Still, he’d     never kissed her, until one night on a whim.     “Night, Han. We’re still on for tomorrow, right?”     And that’s when he’d leant down and kissed her on the     cheek. He’d surprised even himself with that, but he’d     convinced himself that it was a friendly kiss and nothing     more than that.

II. Cuddles.

     Movie nights at the Washington household were some of     Matt’s favorite nights. It was usually just him and Hannah.     Sometimes there’d be others with them, but on nights like     tonight where it was just the two of them, Matt always     found that he liked them the most.     They always watched a multitude of things and the movie     now was more of a comedy. It earned a few chuckles     from Matt here and there, and it also happened to be one     later movies in the night, around the same time they     tended to start drifting off.     This time Hannah had been the first to go, and Matt only     noticed when she’d stopped responding to his questions     and comments. They were cuddled together, with Hannah’s     head resting against Matt’s chest and their arms wound     around one another.     A faint smile formed on Matt’s lips and he tilted his head     toward’s Hannah’s, lips pressing lightly into her soft hair;     kissing the top of her head.

III. I dread the thought of our very first kiss.

     They weren’t completely official yet. They at least knew of     each others’ feelings now, but they were taking things slow;     seeing how things went. Matt wanted to actually ask her out     on a date first, before anything else. Unsurprisingly, Hannah     agreed and he took her out to one of the nicer restaurants--     Greek, probably. It was relatively new, and why not give it     a shot? Hannah didn’t seem to mind anyway.     Fast forward to the end of said date, and luckily enough,     things had gone rather smoothly. Matt was feeling pretty     good about it, still glowing as he walked Hannah to her     door. He hesitated then, the confidence he’d felt from     before slowly beginning to fade into nervousness. Was     it even acceptable to kiss on the first date? This was a     a bit of a ‘special’ occasion, right? It didn’t abide by the     same ‘rules’, did it?    Well, Matt went for it anyway, fingers crossed that he     wasn’t about to fuck this up for either of them.     Imagine his surprise when Hannah actually returned      the kiss as opposed to pulling away. It sent a warmth     throughout his chest, and he eventually had to pull     away after a few seconds. Though as he did, he     couldn’t mask the wide grin that had begin to spread     out across his lips.     “Good night, Han.”

IV. The sweetest of dreams.

     Hannah and Matt were huddled together on the couch,     cuddling under the blankets, and hardly able to keep     their eyes open as the credits began to roll.     A light yawn passes Matt’s lips and he’s so close to her     that the tips of their noses are just barely brushing. He     smiles lazily at her, bringing up a hand to brush any stray     strands of hair from her eyes, and takes the opportunity to     lean forward and press a kiss to her forehead.

V. Happy New Year.

     Matt refused to go home to celebrate New Years with his     family. They didn’t do much anyway-- eat dinner, shoot off     a few fireworks, and watch the ball drop. Matt wouldn’t be     surprised if Alistair, Dominic, and Tierra were off doing their     own thing anyway. Besides, he’d much rather spend his     time with Hannah and the Washington’s.     He wasn’t surprised to see them throwing a party anyway,     and their get togethers were always so much more     interesting than anything Matt’s family could try to throw     together.     Per usual, Matt was right. Delicious food, great music,     amazing fireworks, the whole sha-bang.     Eventually, Hannah had dragged him out to the backyard     where they were shooting off the fireworks. It was edging     closer and closer to midnight now, and the two watched,     along with friends, as the fireworks exploded in the sky.     They were so close, Matt could feel their shoulders brushing.     It sent a feeling of warmth shooting down his arm, despite the     chilly weather. When he thought she wasn’t looking, Matt’s     gaze turned to her. It was at that exact moment that she’d     turned to look at him.     10...9...8...     He froze, like a deer in headlights, eyes unable to leave     hers.     7...6...5...     The distance between them is decreasing now before he     can even notice.     4...3...2...     Slowly, he brings up a hand to caress the side of her face,     continually leaning forward.     1...!     Their lips are locked now, eyes closed, ears blocking out     the cheers of everyone else around them, and the loud     fireworks going off. Time seems to freeze then, and Matt’s     not even sure how much of it has passed before the kiss     is broken and he’s pulling away.     He can feel his chest tighten slightly, and his cheeks tingle.     His voice is a breathy whisper as he finally speaks.     “Happy New Year...”

character in general: HANNAH. oh man i felt so bad for her. but at the same time i was like what person runs into the middle of a snow storm without a jacket like c’mon girl i kno ur upset but u gotta be warm too like don’t do the thing. when she was the wendigo that was a god damn game changer i honestly ad no clue i was like DAMN FULL CIRCLE MOMENT ALL RIGHT DONT EAT MEhow they play them: i haven’t gotten to interact with you yet but!! from your other threads (and your hedcanons) i’m ♥___♥ already like yes give me all the hannah? bc she’s a lot more than a girl who wants to fuck mike munroe so it’s really REALLY cool to see people giving her depth bc she Deserves itthe mun: ALSO HAVEN’T GOTTEN TO TALK 2 U YET BUT. you seem so sweet and nice and i would love to change the not talking thing bc i am a humble potato and i love friends and yes. i’m cool i Swear
