I’ve been kind of quiet the last couple days because an Etsy woman owned business got a bunch of butter stick earring listings taken down claiming they own the copyright to butter sticks. Their design is on the left in gold, the art I use is on the right. Shitty business tactic right before Xmas. 🧈
I’m still waiting for them to respond to my numerous attempts, I’m also not the only small creator who got their listing taken down—and most of us aren’t going to be quiet about this.
The business who is fraudulently taking down her competition through Etsy reports is Ringcrush out of Atlanta Georgia. Elizabeth also owns Blooblee and uses her middle name Bailey on that shop. Both of these shops are on Etsy and have MASSIVE sales already. Meanwhile she’s squashing her competition over butter sticks with small creators who have under 10,000 sales 😒
If you’re looking for my butter stick earrings to purchase, one pair is on mercari and one on my website. I also know of another seller who has cute ones if you don’t like mine 🥰
Handmade accessories that are too radical for main stream selling sites
Whenever she decides to reply to ONE of my numerous attempts: only then will I consider taking down my multiple posts regarding this situation. Until then, I’ll be posting quite frequently about butter sticks, so apologies in advance about that 😅

Has the Kerrygold butter thing spilled over onto Tumblr yet? It is wild. (Twitter galaxy brain at its finest. On the flip side, Kerrygold itself has congratulated the woman who was using their butter to bake chocolate chip cookies, which gives me hope for this dumpster fire of ours.)
Has anyone else in Canada heard about buttergate??? Has this been happening for a while?? Why am I only finding out now

Julie Van Rosendaal has a message for dairy producers: Don’t mess with butter. The Calgary-based food writer has been in the eye of a media frenzy since she started spreading the news about palm fat supplements creeping into the Canadian butter supply through cow feed. She has fielded calls from media outlets around the world about a story that started with her own observation that butter at…
