Pure Vanilla gets mistaken for a moth often (He is half, he just doesn't know it). A bud sent me a vid of moths and said it reminded them of PV so U know I had to draw him on a Q-tip. Might do more later, idk.

Butterfly and Wildflowers
This is a common buckeye (Junonia grisea) resting amid a patch of wild Plains Coreopsis (Coreopsis tinctoria). These golden blossoms, with their deep red centers, grow freely around my homeāflaring up each season like natureās own confetti.

Always 2 Sides To Me
Painted Lady, Arizona, Flagstaff, May 2019
My last journal entry for 2016: He said "you're like a butterfly"š¦... I laughed, as ironically enough I had always likened myself to a butterfly but I've always felt cocooned like if I could just reach all the markers I had set out in life to accomplish, that I'd finally have my freedom. 25 is around the corner for me & the truth is this year I learned quite possibly the most important lessons thus far in my journey - it's not the wings that make the butterfly beautiful it's the resilience to giving up hope, even in darkness, even in solitude and even in stillness. I've resented my cocoon for so long but now I understand, the contrasts of life are necessary. We must take the good with the bad, there are no hills without valleys and no darkness without light. My peace, the keeper of time and the creator of all things has sewn my wings together - I was flying all the while and I didn't even know it š¦š Cheers to the winds of change, love, health and the light of happiness I hope you all have a blessed 2017 ⨠ā¢ā¢ā¢ #bye2016 #changeisgood #evolve #butteryfly #journaling #jadejanelle #aquarius #lighttheworld #theresmore #bluehair #braidgang #singlebraids #protectivestyles #canadiannaturalistas #blackgirlmagic #melanin #jamaicangirl #islandgirl
