i’m sorry but i will never understand experienced shifters who are rude to baby shifters that ask “is it real?”.
i know as shifters we get that question a lot, and it can be annoying sometimes,, but oh my god. i will never have a problem with reassuring someone who needs it.
we’ve all been in a baby shifter’s place before whether we remember it or not. finding out about shifting after being conditioned by a society that believes such things are impossible, is obviously going to come with skepticism. you’re telling me that you not once asked someone if it was real or not?
the “stop asking and do your own research” attitude i see sometimes is so… unnecessary. it doesn’t motivate anyone. it only discourages them and pushes them away from here. there’s nothing wrong with giving them a gentle reminder instead. </3
