I’ve spent over 2 million credits getting my companions’ affection levels maxed out in preparation for KofTE, and I’m still not done.

But thank god BioWare firmly believes in the fact your buddies can be bought off with enough presents to sink a barge or I’d never get anywhere.

I was the salesperson for myself. I wasn't happy with averageness; I needed widespread acceptance. I couldn't breathe with the whisper of rejection in my ear, the echo of the mean girls decades ago who chose me as the shortcut to more worthwhile friends. Some sang the song that to be wanted, we had to make people believe we were worth the time. It was too easy to buy this recommendation, because it was everything I had suspected, confirmed. But it is the complete opposite. We must never sell ourselves for acceptance. It cannot make a half, a whole. Friends are to be built, not bought.
