I just wanted to ask you that because I am currently looking for a new gi, and I was wondering if you have any tips on which style to go for, sorry to be a pain. Xx
Well, I’ll be honest, I don’t know very much about gi. I only mostly care about the gi’s cut, but I’ve been lucky, I’ve only had three gi, (including my current one) and the last two have been great and lasted very long. These were a Neeron, and a Kime Yudansha. I’ve never been able to find these two brands again, though.
Buying a gi can be hard sometimes. I checked out the gi, and It’s actually the type of gi that I would buy for myself, japanese cut, long uwagi and tie in trousers, it’s the only type of gi I like, though this one brings a second pair of pants with an elastic waist band, so you have both choices. I looked up some info and everybody seems to like this gi.
It’s cotton, so when you wash it, you should always air dry it to avoid shrinking. Though it doesn’t happen with every cotton canvas gi, I wouldn’t risk it.
Even though I don’t know this particular gi, the Blitz White Diamond, after looking up some info, I would give it a try.
Still, to my taste, I’d still take it to a tailor and get the sleeves and legs cut a little bit more, but that’s just my taste. =P
