I'm gonna be sooooo nitpicky about the narrative in DAV and I'm excited for it. I know they've already failed me in a few areas, and my brain is buzzing with ways to fix it in fic. BW continues to be one of the only devs out there that can somehow make a shitty game that's good. Where I almost get gleeful when they drop a ball that seems obvious and simple to me.
Not mentioning Hawke again? RIP to you BW but I'm different. Warden's fate unknown? Sounds like a you problem, BW. Morrigan is straight? Skill issue. Forget all your previous lore because you don't know how to connect it? Sit down, sweetheart, let the storytellers take over.
Would I prefer just a great game? Sure. But their mediocrity means my fics will be bomb af, so that's my silver lining.
