so when that episode originally aired in the us (2013), sylveon had just recently been revealed & so i, in my childish innocence, thought full-heartedly that virgil’s eevee was going to evolve into sylveon by the end since it was the only eeveelution he didn’t have. and then when that didn’t happen i was miffed

the pokémon rescue squad kinda comes off as this rich old dude piddling around and buying helicopters and letting his sons run around willy nilly helping people. and neither son realizes this so they just think they're really cool heroes
