He raised his children on 59th and West Boulevard, and watched them grow up with Nipsey and his brother, “Blacc Sam.” He watched the neighborhood kids grow up as “nothing to something,” he said. “I had to start a series of work of art to pay my own tribute to Nipsey Hussle, “ said Mubarak. He hopes to do a giant mural of Nipsey on a two-story building somewhere in Los Angeles. * BOOK FAIR INTERNATIONAL WORK: OPENING OF READING ROOM IN NASSAU - BAHAMAS The Leimert Park Village Book Fair participated in its first International partnership to help open a Reading Room in Nassau, Bahamas. On hand to accept the donations were Mrs. Dorcas Bowler, Director of Libraries, National Library Services, Ministry of Education, Mrs. Genesta Stuart Baker, staff, Pastor Geoffrey Wood, Chairman of the Lillian Coakley Local Library Committee, librarians, teachers, students, parents and Community leaders.
