Donna always forgot how much of a pain galas could be, especially when the art was not all to her favor. There were always some gems though and not everyone that attended were pretentious assholes. She made to sip her wine when someone bumped into her.

Jessica laughed and sat down beside Mary, it felt good to have a friend. Someone to be comfortable around.

“I can pet your hair. If you like that. I know I do.” She smiles invitingly, a possibly more intimate gesture but growing up girlfriends did it as a measure to provide safety. Comfort.

                                   Coupled with glasses of wine and a cheese and cracker platter, they sat on the couch, surrounded by the thick blankets and down pillows. He had her curled under his arm, hand absentmindedly stroking her hair, running his long fingers through the soft strands. Tonight, he planned on bestowing her with a heavy diamond necklace, a family heirloom. The expensive jewels were heavy in his pocket. All was calm and well until he saw something out of the corner of his eye, moving past the glass window. 

                   At first, he brushed it off, but he saw more movement out the window, something shielded by the night. He sat up, calmly turning to Mary, “Honey. I need you to go under the closet under the stairs and lock the door.” Once he knew she was safely hidden, he’d grab his gun and sort whatever fuckshit came up.

I don’t really have a favorite. I enjoy ones like Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, CSI...I’m a fan of both fictional crime, and true crime shows.

I also binge watch Korean dramas (my favorite being Secret Garden)

GOT7 is currently my drug of choice. They’re a Kpop group but they make me smile until my face hurts. I love them for being them and for their music. They just all around make me feel like it’s all worthwhile.
