They hadn’t seen each other since New Years and to say that she was anxious about seeing Jacy again was an understatement. After he’d tried to kiss her, Elsa hadn’t exactly stayed long enough to try and deal with the aftermath of it. Barely even a moment long enough to catch a breath before she was slipping past him and away from the party. Maybe he hadn’t been so wrong when he’d called her Cinderella after all. It was for the best, she told herself, at least this way I can’t hurt him. But that didn’t stop the ache that was left in her chest from pushing him away like she did everyone else. Telling herself that she shouldn’t miss him, because what good would it do?Â
She’d almost regretted saying yes to coffee the moment it was brought up, not because she didn’t want to see him; but was it really wise to get close again after what happened? It was probably selfish, but for someone who spent her life protecting other people from herself, was it so terrible for her to long for some company? Yes, was the logical answer. Yet here she was pulling her coat on over her dress, heels tapping lightly against the floor as she made her way out of her office into the main lounge. Well that was until she paused in her steps when her eyes fell onto him. Elsa pushed away the small ache, instead letting a small smile grace the edge of her features as her eyes flickered over his familiar face. “Hi-” The blonde spoke softly, pausing for a brief moment before adding: “Sorry I’m late, my meeting ran over; time zones with Arendelle, there were a few things they needed to talk to me about. Thank you for meeting me here, are you ready to go?” @bxronjacy
