If there's something I have learnt from Tumblr, it's that people who want to look hipster/indie smoke cigarettes/pipes and buy leather goods, both ignoring 1) 494 acres of wood (11 times the size of Washington DC) get destroyed every year in the production of tobacco. & 2) backpacks/camera straps/shoes/notebook covers/etc made out of leather come from the skin of butchered animals. They may like to go into the woods to take selfies, so as to show everyone how deeply and unconditionally indie and presumably connected to nature they are, but I say fostering the destruction of trees and the murder of animals does not mean being a part of the great outdoors. They shouldn't even dare enter forests with tobacco and leather. That'd be just like entering a cowshed eating a hamburger.
