So i met this boy....

OK so I meant to post this ages ago like the day after it happened but year 12 is just taking over my life so yeah anyway (btw I put the important stuff in bold so if you don’t wanna read the whole thing just read that! oh and it’s really freaky that I remember so much of this conversation…just so you know…I even freaked myself out a bit.)

So my literature class took a trip to the city one day to go watch an adaption of ‘Hamlet’ so I was really excited to finally get out of school for a day. So we got there and I was a little annoyed because we were literally the 2nd row from the back so I could barely see anything.

So the first half of the play came on and then in the interval this guy taps my friend on the shoulder and said ‘don’t you remember me’. And it turns out that they were in a short film filmed last year and didn’t recognize each other.

So after their little chat, my friend turned around and I asked who he was talking to. So he explained to me that they were in a short film together and that I should talk to him. So I did. I think I freaked him out a little though cause I kinda tunred around really quickly and he was sitting right behind me and yeah.

Anyway so we talked and it turned out we liked the same stuff and both wanted to go into the acting business when we were older. At that time I hadn’t been feeling all so confident about my career choice and I told him that I didn’t think people would want to hire me AND that’s when he said ‘why wouldn’t they? You’re pretty enough’. I kinda did this nervous laugh but tried to stay calm.

And then we were talking some more until the music came back on for the second part and I said ‘I have to turn around so I can watch it’ then he said ‘I don’t want you to turn around I wanna keep talking to you’

So I eventually turned around and could feel my friend just staring at me (cause we’re really close and he and I have implied that we may get together in the future…but anyway that’s a story for another day!). Anyway during the whole second part I literally could not concentrate on what was happening on stage cause…like I said… no one had ever ‘flirted’ like that with me before so I didn’t know what to do

So the play finished and I was just waiting for him to do something cause I didn’t wanna turn around and freak him out again. So he finally tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around and we formally introduced ourselves. Then his school was leaving and his friend called him over to her cause they had to go and he told her to wait cause he wanted to finish our conversation and I said ‘good luck with everything’ (cause he’s writing a script for a film) and he said ‘yeah you to’ then he put his hand out and I took it and he kissed it. (Okay to some that may sound weird and cheesy but i found it chivalrous which is kinda what I look for in a guy) so I just smiled and said bye to him again and he left then I turned back to my friends and they could tell I was totally flustered and yeah…

Anyway I found out his full name from my friend and added him on Facebook (is that weird? Cause he said he would do the same but he never did?) and we haven’t talked since which is fine by me but some people keep telling me to act on it.

Anyway just thought i would share this with you guys cause this is a tiny step forward in my failed love life! =] xxx
