Cockytrice, the Peafowl Pokemon After building perhaps too much confidence, Cockytrice can now turn their piercing gaze to the world and use their wings to fly instead of hide. People and Pokemon alike are entranced by the eyespots on Cockytrice's tails, making them shake in awe as it once shook in fear.

Now that you've boosted your Peacower's fighting spirit, it can raise its Special Attack in the face of adversity instead of of running away. In the wild, Cockytrice are very territorial, mobbing the player even as they try to run away. Move-wise, Cockytrice's main pick up is Glare, and plays around with a pre-evolution move: Peacower learns Reflect and Light Screen in the 20s, a little later than it would evolve, and Cockytrice does not learn these by level up at all. Unlike Spore Breloom, the opportunity does return once Cockytrice evolves again.

Peacower, the Peafowl Pokemon Even while covering its eyes, it always seems to know how to escape whatever scary situation it finds itself in. Peacower come from a far off region, but quickly spread across Manaka after escaping from a roadside zoo. They are surprisingly adept at avoiding Murkrow and Calicozy.

Types: Psychic/Flying Abilities: Run Away Hidden Ability: Magic Guard

Peacower is the early route bird of Manaka and a reliable early special attacker. Peacower learns Foresight early so Calicozy aren't as troublesome, and is the Run Away mon of choice for the early game. It evolves about level 18, trading Run Away for a real ability, and evolves to its final form in the late 30s.

Airveyence, the Peafowl Pokemon As a Cockytrice gains a cooler head, its powers reach its peak. Its five eyespots let Airveyence see and attack in any direction at a moment's notice. Airveyence's tail feathers are normally splayed out, with only one focusing psychic power at a time. By folding its tails, it can deliver an attack ten times as powerful.

Types: Psychic/Flying Ability: Competitive Hidden Ability: Magic Guard Signature Move: Preen Train — Psychic | Status | 20 PP | Preen Train boosts two of Airveyence's stats by one stage, changing which stats are raised as it is used in succession. The first time raises its Defense and Special Defense, the second raises its Speed and Special Attack, the third its accuracy and evasion. If used for a fourth time, or after another move, it will start with the defenses again.

Airveyence tries to capture the fearlessness and flashiness of peacocks, standing with irreverence in front of whatever it pleases to set up. It will probably still struggle in doubles where doubling up can punish this more, but hopefully it will be a surprise menace from the route 1 bird in singles.
