Ten things that happened at Byakuya and Soi Fon’s Wedding

This is a sort-of sequel to the ByaSoi Engagement Reactions list. So! What exactly happened at this wedding?

1) Kensei never showed up. Despite all the captains being required to attend.

As he said, he refused to attend such a dull, emotionless wedding. Soi Fon didn’t care, though. She was glad his presence wasn’t there to enrage her further.

2) It was both a traditional Japanese and Chinese wedding.

Soi Fon is Chinese, after all. And Byakuya is supposed to represent the perfect samurai. Add the fact that they’re both from noble houses, and it was one expensive wedding.

3) The Shinigami Women’s Association threw a big bachelorette party for Soi Fon.

After all, one of their members was getting married! Rangiku brought the male strippers (a.k.a., Hisagi and Kira), Nanao gave Soi Fon plenty of advice for the married life, and Nemu gave a sex talk so X-rated that Soi Fon still needs to recover from it.

4) Yoruichi had a heart-to-heart with Soi Fon before the wedding.

She told Soi Fon that she was proud of her for making it this far, congratulated her on her engagement, wished her all the best, and then hugged her. Soi Fon actually started crying and it took a while for her to compose herself.

5) Renji had a heart-to-heart with Byakuya before the wedding.

He congratulated his captain before the ceremony, and was finally able to tell him what he wanted to say before Ichigo interrupted them. It was truly heartfelt indeed and Byakuya thanked Renji for being there for him on this special day.

6) Rukia cried.

She eventually managed to get over the fact that her brother was marrying the other captain that had wanted her dead. Because they were obviously happy.

7) Omaeda provided the catering.

He had his family chefs create some of the best food for the reception afterwards. Even Soi Fon was impressed at how the food turned out. Though she didn’t say it out loud, she really did appreciate his efforts.

8) Kyoraku got drunk.

It’s a wedding, after all. He went up to make a speech about how proud he was of Byakuya and Soi Fon but passed out in the middle. A very embarrassed Nanao ended up dragging him away.

9) Kenpachi tried to fight Byakuya before the ceremony.

He needed an opportunity before “the wifey banned him from fighting”, as he claimed. Byakuya very sternly turned him down.

10) Rangiku got drunk.

She made a drunk and oddly-depressing speech about love as she was hit with feels about Gin and ended up having to be escorted out of the wedding before the mood completely soured.

I wanted to translate my ByaSoi fanfic (it's in Portuguese) but I also want to draw them so I think I'm gonna do a comic version of it... Dunno if I'll manage to finish it, but I'll try.
