I feel like after Claude comes back his wedding would be absolutely BONKERS like can you imagine???

Claude’s wedding is insane it’s gonna be him and Byleth having a small ceremony in the Monastery and then having their actual wedding probably in Deirdru OR in Almyra. Claude’s parents meet Byleth and Judith is crying in the back because the first thing Claude’s mom says is “Wow I guess you and your father both like people who can kick your ass” before hugging Byleth. Byleth and her become friends fairly quickly by sparring and Claude’s father can only pat his son on the back because his future spouse just disarmed his wife without dying what the fu- needless to say he is very impressed and happy with his son’s choices. The Golden Deer are OF COURSE showing up to the wedding because why would they not, oh and they pretty much take control of wedding planning because they refuse to let Byleth or Claude have to work. Hilda works on designing all of the outfits and is also the maid of honor by both Claude and Byleth’s request. She most certainly cried. Ignatz creates decorations and decides on colors, Leonie is on self-appointed bodyguard duty because “If anyone tries to ruin this wedding I will not hesitate to stab them.” Lorenz is best man and he SWEARS he didn’t cry when Claude asked him. Lysithea and Raphael are both in charge of making sure food preparation goes smoothly. Besides Annette and Mercedes having tales about the “white haired ghost and the Goliath who stole pastries and meat in the night” the menu became a wild success because of those two!! Marianne in addition to helping out Hilda also coordinates a lovely little bird song to play with Manuela and Dorothea. When Byleth finally walks down with Alois (whose definitely not crying why would he) Claude can barely find the silver tongue to say his vows. He can’t wrap his head around how he went from distrusting all those he met, refusing to take anything at face value, and waiting for the knife in his back that may or may not come- to watching the love of his life walk down the altar. To see someone he trusted with everything he had, his whole being was barred for them, and that terrified that small voice inside of him that still believed maybe this was all a trick. That he couldn’t be this happy without a catch. But when Byleth took his shaking hands and smiled, he thinks that maybe just this once, he could let that part of him go.
