WELP THAT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED
The Autumn Moon Lights My Way
She quickly ran through her house, running outside with a bag, running back in to grab another, coming back outside once more just to run back in to grab her cat carrier. She was about to leave for the dock before remembering yet another thing, running back into her house to grab a pad of paper, scribbling down on it quickly with her pink pen before ripping off the page, folding it and sticking it into her pocket before running out again.
With just the light of the moon to help her see, Molly made her way into town at a fast pace, the sound of Santino meowing heard through the quiet area along with the quick steps of her feet. She came up to one of the buildings, pulling the note she had written out not too long before, and sticking it under the door. Rolling her shoulders, she picked up the cat carrier and grabbed a hold of her suitcase handle and made her way down the pathway towards the docks.
While she would have wanted to take in the sights of town one last time before leaving, Molly unfortunately hadn't the time. She was running late; having to catch the next ferry out of Castanet and into town if she even wanted to get to the airport on time. She was cutting it close already by even taking the time to drop off a note, having decided that perhaps it was best to leave one only at the last minute.
She quickened her pace as she spotted Paschal's ship; the older captain ready to set off for the city. With a small smile, as she was a bit winded to offer the man a voiced 'hello,' she handed him her ticket before boarding the ship. The man followed right behind her, taking his leave in order to set sail.
Molly stopped at the railing, setting down her bags, the boat giving a light lurch before going into motion. She watched as Castanet disappeared slowly into the distance, a light sigh coming through her nose before turning her attention to the open sea.
"Don't worry," She spoke to the meowing cat in the pink carrier offering him a bit of reassurance "we'll be back soon." But the reassurance was more-so for herself.
