The red-haired girl had first heard of the new inhabitants of the supernatural circle not too long ago, in fact, she had barely officiated her position as a hunter when the nephilims were added to the list of species the hunters had the duty to protect and since it was so rare to come across any of them, Qri was starting to think they weren’t more than just a myth, however, that was only until the petite girl herself had crossed paths with a young boy that seemed to fit perfectly almost every description of those blessed by the heavens that the Jeju hunter association was aware about, and unfortunately that wasn’t much information still.
Her heels clicked against the cold concrete floor as she made her way through the tall buildings that composed the campus of the Seoul National University in a rather fast pace, her slender hands tightly wrapped around a pile of books as she equilibrated then against her petite frame in the best possible way. Letting those books fall wasn’t an option at the moment, she needed to pass on those information to the reason behind her almost childish curiosity about the children of the heavens, her classmate and partner in molecular and human genetics class was in search for his roots and after a year being in familiar terms with each other, Qri didn’t see the reason to not help him with it.
She made her way to the cafeteria in a rather distant building that nobody usually frequented, nobody but Soohyuk, the other seemed to always be sitting there with a book in hands and a coffee at his side, and it didn’t take a genius to find out that the medical student enjoyed the silence and the solitude. Qri respected that, but after convincing him and herself of what he might actually be, she hasn’t been able to catch a wink of sleep as she spent most of her night time in between the walls of the headquarters of the Seoul hunters association and even the university’s library trying to reunite enough of material to cease their curiosity and provide them some answers.
“Hey there, Soohyuk.” Her velvet voice called out for the rather taller boy as soon as she caught a glimpse of his silhouette in a polite manner, offering him a small smile as she placed the books down on the table neatly in front of him. “We might as well have to give up eating or any break time indeed, but I think you might find this interesting.” She gestured with her slender hand, silently asking if she could sit across him before handing him a book in particular.
“It’s a lot less then what we have to read for the next upcoming exams, but it’s all I can find on nephilims as for now.” The petite girl muttered in an almost apologetic tune, even if they were literally the only ones in the room, she still wasn’t comfortable in speaking about the supernatural out loud for everyone to hear. “I wasn’t kidding when I said it’s a rare situation.”
