Designs for Loki’s parents and Brothers
I made Farbauti a storm based jotun since he often associated with storms or is theorized to be the associated cause of wildfires. Also his name means “dangerous striker”. Laufey on the other hand I made a nature type jotun/ goddess since she’s commonly depicted as being close with trees and some depiction have her as either a jotun or a Aesir goddess or a hybrid of both.
When it comes to Loki’s brother’s Helblindi looks more like their father while Byleistr looks more like their mother. Loki is a mixture of both inheriting most of her traits from her father. While inheriting their poofy tail and green eyes from thier mother (Laufey has recessive green eyes).
Loki has a healthy relationship with his family. He used to talk to them a lot as well as visit when he was living with and married to Angrboda. But after Loki joined up with Odin and the Aesir then Angrboda’s death occurring things changed. They weren’t really able to see or talk to their family anymore. Farbauti and Laufey don’t even know they have more than three grandchildren and that Loki remarried. A lot of it has to do with Odin kinda isolating Loki and trying to keep them as far away from Jotunheim as much as he could.
