Bynar named '11' and the Borg drone they freed specifically to replace their partner which she killed.
They're from this post! 11 is a surgeon on Bynar who typically performs on newborn children, connecting them to the master computer with their partner, 00. They were called by Starfleet to perform surgery on a Bynar officer and it went well. However, after leaving their shuttle was attacked by a small group of Borg which had somehow become separated from the collective (physically, not mentally) and was heading back to their cube when they saw the Bynar shuttle and attacked. 00 was killed by the Borg (the process of assimilation proved difficult since Bynars are already attached to another larger entity) and they fought hard enough to damage their body severely, making the drones think them useless. 11 killed two of the drones and mortally wounded the last one, Forty Eight of Eighty Four. 11, realizing that their partner was dead, decided to perform surgery on 48/84, linking her to master computer rather than the Borg network and declaring her their partner. However, they curiously did not return to Bynar after this incident and both 11 and 00 were subsequently declared missing by the Bynar home planet and dead by Starfleet. Though 11 seems to hold no affection for 48/84 and is certainly not kind, the ex-drone is fiercely loyal to them and that loyalty and admiration seems to be developing into something else...
