ARTEK Zaalim (Bonus Track) + Album Stream
Underground electronic producer with a knack for across the board arrangements released his latest body of work Out of Touch last week, and it's something I've been listening to a lot. The bonus track, which ARTEK dropped a few months ago, is the stand out track for me. The locks and breaks creep with jazzy undertones and an overall sexiness that I really dig.
The EP as a whole is fluid but messy. Busy with lots of shiny things to catch your attention. Tracks like "Earth One" sound a bit like 1990s Janet Jackson inspired dance-off music. "Grief" gets all electro-tropical in this really fun way. Overall, every track has a lot going on. It's kind of intense, like Space Mountain at Disneyland for the first time. It's futuristic and sparkly with lots of twinkling lights, and then all of a sudden you are descending on a very steep incline. It's kind of scary, but the second you get off the ride, you just want to go on it again.
