Sending a wholesome ask bc of the post you made - favorite Ghibli film? How was your day?

Thank you so much!!  I’m doing fine.  I’m studying for a test I have on Tuesday, but I’m taking a break rn. 

I still absolutely adore Spirited Away.  It’s still my favorite of the Ghibli films.

I first saw it when I was about 10, and I was completely blown away by the art, the atmosphere, and the creativity behind all the designs.  It really feels not so much like watching a film but watching a dream, and the attention to detail is just mindblowing.  I feel I discover something new every time I watch it.

Another favorite of mine is Grave of the Fireflies.

It’s one of the darkest animated films I’ve ever seen, as well as one of the most realistic and hard-hitting.  I rarely, if ever, cry watching movies, but this movie just made me bawl.  One of the best, humanistic war films ever.

2. i haven’t watched dr. who in quite awhile! i think my favorite doctor is probably either 9 or 12?

3. lately i’ve been listening to tantrum by ashnikko, a deer mistaking candles for headlights by crywank, and bitter fuck by joji - i’ve just kinda been bumping my top 2020 playlist lol
