Though the Ethereal Ball is a night for festivities and revelry first and foremost, it is also a night for connections. During lulls in the night, she makes her rounds about the ballroom, introducing herself to those she has yet to meet. She has just arrived in Fódlan, after all — her students should see her face at least once before they meet her in the classroom.
"Ophelia, is it? I am Ivy, a professor with the Black Eagles. I heard you'd arrived in Fódlan recently, and that you are a mage as well. I look forward to seeing your talent in my classes."
She smiles and plucks a white feather from her brooch, holding it out along with a plate of sweet buns.
"Here, for your collection. Do you care for sweets? These are traditional Faerghan pastries, and they are quite delicious."
The night is still young, and many treats awaiting to be chosen by one such as herself! She peruses the tables until a beautifully elegant woman who seemed much like the first princess of her home nation approaches her.
"You have heard of the destined heroine Ophelia Dusk? Word of my exploits must have spread whilst I was unawares for it to have already spread so far! A heroine of my caliber must never disappoint when such faith has been placed onto my promise! I look forward to your class and to absorb every bit of knowledge you may have for me!" She curtsies a bit before rising to take the gift.
She takes both into her hands, but not before reaching for her own teardrop crystal brooch to exchange! "Many thanks Professor Ivy. I am rather fond of sweets for they help keep mine magical powers in check! I will be sure to enjoy such delicacies with much gusto!"
