May be a lil controversial, but the more I think about it, the more I dislike the main kids jumping timelines towards the end of Tokyo Soul. And I don't mean at the very end to "save" Taurtis (though I do have issues with that too), I mean before, when they first find the Necronomicon, and it immediately sends them to a new timeline.
I don't like it because any and all plotlines/character arcs that may have been planted or being developed from the original timeline basically mean nothing. Dom went from a bully to a homeless kid to one of the Trio's Ride-Or-Die. He was "Dom-WOW". But in the new timeline, he became "The Dastardly Dom-Rao". Everything about his old variant meant nothing as we were forced to be stuck with this new "villain". Then he dies almost immediately.
And then at the very end, when the go to get a new Taurtis, suddenly, nothing mattered. Geode maybe being an Alien? Nah, he's a human in this timeline and that's all that matters. Invader's obsession with Sam? Nah, this new Invader hates him. The Superhero stuff, as strange as that was, it still sucked to see it just go away. Even the Clone stuff became less important until it was ultimately forgotten about.
(I'd mention the fact that the Yakuza is supposedly supposed to be hunting them down, but that was forgotten about like as soon as Tokyo Soul started soo..)
Though a lot of this seems due to the fact that it seemed like they just wanted to end Tokyo Soul as soon as possible. I dunno tho, just some hot takes I guess
