cause like she's really social. she loves people and she loves her family, and she doesn't know what she did wrong [she does, but denial is part of being dead, isn't it?]. it doesn't help that she looks so much like her mother. her spitting image, she even had her mother's eyes.

but now, looking into her white eyes, he has to pretend everything's normal for her. even though he had to put a sword through his only daughter. and now he's locked up in the town rebuilt over the flooded crater she left burning. everytime he glances in just the wrong place, a chill runs up his spine, ruffling his freshly burnt wings that no amount of healing potion can fix.

he thinks, could I have done it differently? what if I'd just let her blow herself up? would she have lived? would she have died? would I have to put her out of her misery? would it still be my fault?

don't get him wrong, he's very reckless. he's never been the best, or even the greatest father, but when he cares, he really does.
