Coal cars moving along the CSX James River Viaduct. It calls to mind a poem by Langston Hughes:

Is two over one railroad fare?

Triple Crossing Soon after the Civil War, railroads were built over the old canal tow paths. Three rail lines crossing over each other give this part of the city its name. Across the canal is the only triple main-line railroad crossing in the world. The bottom line was build before the Civil War. In the early 20th century, the other two were added, contributing to Richmond’s development as an important transportation hub.

From the C&O mural located at 1748 East Cary Street. Despite the appearance of misspelling, the U is there. An interesting design question that one supposes consumed some cycles. The road less travelled; rock on!
