Oliver had learned that just crossing the street whenever he damn well felt like it wasn’t a thing he could do around here. In New York, everyone did it, regardless of whether or not they had cat-like reflexes, so it was normal for Oliver, and wasn’t much of a problem in the less crowded city of Elias with his swift feet. However, others seemed to look on in horror and even shout at him in anger when he did this, and he figured it’d be easier to just comply - at least then he could be a bit more conspicuous. So, he’d been waiting at the crosswalk like a normal, well-behaved citizen when he felt the warmth of another’s skin brushing up against his hand. Confused, Oliver turned to notice Al was now holding his hand. “What are you doing?” Oliver asked. “I think I’m way too old to need help crossing the street.”
