Who: Gwen x Auggie ( @augustine-lycaon ) When: Approx. 3AM, After Wine Fest Where: Waffle House, Hedon

The exhaustion was written clearly on the alpha's features as she pulled into the parking lot of Waffle House. Between doing damage control before the Wine Party and actually going to the wine party, Gwen was spent. However, if there was one thing she was more than tired was hungry. The vampires sure knew how to throw a party, but the spread of food left much to be desired for the now ravenous alpha. She'd surely worked up an appetite between mingling and networking, as well as keeping a watchful eye on other pack members.

Walking into the familiar scene of Waffle House with a smile, she quickly found a booth near the back window to take residence. Leaving the party knowing it was later than late, she had reached out to the one person she knew would probably be up at this hour, Auggie. She was happy to receive the text that he would meet her somewhere, grateful she wouldn't have to dine alone. Gwen ordered a coffee and looked out the window for signs of Auggie's arrival.

A Night They Won’t Believe| Auggie  x Viv  Where: The Ballroom,  @augustine-lycaon

Viv had to blink a few times as she made her way through one of the entrance portals, instinctively looking down to make sure she was in one piece. Although she was comfortable around most demons, she knew that there would be magic in the air-and magic meant witches. Despite the anxiety that flared around the idea of witches at the party, Vivian was determined to have a good time. The vampire had been talked into coming by quite a few people she’d grown close to around the city and she hoped it would be as fun as they talked it up. Once the blonde was sure she was okay, her eyes trailed around the room to take in the elegant and remarkable sight before her.

When the vampire was unable to locate a familiar face in the crowd, she beelined for her next greatest comfort, the bar. As she approached, she could see everyone with these odd-looking punches being served by the bartenders. Her curiosity was definitely peaked as she leaned against the bar, biting her lip as she contemplated ordering one for herself. As she pondered, she noticed an empty punch glass in front of the gentleman on the side of her. Leaning in close, Viv tapped him on the arm lightly to get his attention over the bustle of the crowd. “Uhm- Hi there! Mind if I ask how that was for you?”

Who: Luke x { @augustine-lycaon ) Where: The Shard Bar, When: Wine Fest 2023 Luke had needed a break. Everywhere he turned at this party there was someone he was trying to avoid and his social battery was draining fast. Taking a seat at one of the vacant barstools, he ordered himself another scotch. Now that he had a good vantage point of the venue, his plan was to sit here and people-watch while he got himself hammered. 

He’d just about finished the first drink he’d ordered in his new spot when he felt someone appear behind him. Noticing it was one of his neighbors, he couldn’t help but smirk lightly. “Sorry, Wolf. There’s only room for one broody dude at this bar and I got here first,” he joked as he took the last swig of his drink. “How’s your night going?”

If the deity was honest with herself, she wasn’t sure why she decided to attend the Halloween Party. She enjoyed the holiday and all the costumes and joy it brought to people. When she stepped through the portal, it felt like a whole different world which was unnerving. Following the crowd into the ballroom, she tried to find a familiar face in the crowd, knowing some friends would be here too. 

She didn’t have to look far to find someone though they were more acquittances than friends, despite that curious form he’d given her. “Hello Augustine,” she greeted, wondering if he would remember her. They had  first met by chance by at the demon owned club. Meeting like that once was a coincidence, a second time was going to make her seem suspicious. Or maybe it was just being surrounded by demon’s that made her feel that way. 

Regardless, Augustine had been kind to her the first time they had met, she hoped he would still be kind. “I like your costume.”

“You know, it hurts when you doubt me like this,” he said, sighing softly. Maybe he had gotten the form through some nefarious dealings and bribery but he had enjoyed filling it out. “Well, that hurts because I think I would make a great client,” he began, his hands resting on his hips. Hemi had run this club for a long time, long enough to try a bit of everything. He was never one to shy away from something new. “But if you’re not pleased with my application, maybe you should give me some pointers on what I can say in the future. You know, in case they’re all hard asses like you.”

“I nudged you. Gravity did the rest.” They’re playing a game of who gets rid of the body this time, and Augustine can’t step on consecrated ground anyway, so. He gives Moby a hard nudge into the cemetery and tells her: “Just toss it in a tomb and be done with it.” After all--the last place people tend to look for a body is an actual graveyard.

Beautiful children 10/10

Rántí spent her youth in the dark and secret chambers below the shattered pillar. There she listened to the whispers of the earth, and became one with lost truths and histories the Earthshaker has forgotten he knows. Her raw power at orogenesis is greater, if less precise, than that of her elder brother’s, but she cannot be moved to use it unless she knows the land is willing.

Augustine is Heliantheae’s son, and half-brother to Fletch. Despite his being light-born he has his sister’s loyalty to the Flamecaller. Officially, he’s (going to be) House Perihelion’s Requester; but since Perihelion is a strictly residential structure as opposed to Betelgeuse where the entire base floor is a booming business area, he mostly just files requests related to building upkeep. In his spare hours, he likes making lamps and lanterns.

Who: Gwen x Auggie ( @augustine-lycaone-lycaon ) Where: Auggie’s Apartment When: After Earth Day Festival

Between catching up on issues within the pack and the restaurant, Gwen hadn’t left much time for family since she’d been back. For her that was mostly a good thing, but not when it left little time for one of the few people she found herself genuinely close to. Gwen had decided that she would pop in on her cousin after she left Nevermore, hoping he’d be off and up for a little surprise. After a quick raid of her restaurant's kitchen, she gathered up all the supplies she needed to enact her plan.

The blonde had dropped Edgar off at her home before making her way to the Hereafter. Gwen had planned to pick the lock if Auggie wasn’t home, but she didn’t need to because Luke had been in the halls repairing some lights. After batting her eyelashes and promising some leftovers, he’d let her in. When it came up that he wasn’t home, she got in the kitchen and began prepping. After about 30 minutes of laying everything out and chopping vegetables, she heard the keys jingling at the door. “Surprise!” She called with a cheesy, playful grin.
