The first time you ever saw an obelisk was in the Song.

You, like the teeming crowds of other Siderians, flowed out of the city's northern gate soon after your day of clerking and fetching and carrying was done, looking for some spice, some magic, some Song to alleviate the monotony of your regular life. That was why dragons came to the Song: to be entertained, uplifted, awed. If those services came with their share of charlatans and pickpockets, well, perhaps you wouldn't mind a taste of adventure.

You'd get more than a taste, in the end.

Yes: you saw a Fae in the crowd who was looking at Viktoria instead, but before you could do more than note his presence, Viktoria began to speak again. She didn't sound angry, just softly disappointed, like a let-down parent. "No? You won't stand with us against the coming storm?"

Some of the obelisks' followers were at your back, urging you towards the stage -- almost pushing you -- but you resisted. You didn't want to get involved until you knew what was going on. "Who are you?" you said. "What are you talking about?" A murmur rose from the followers around you, but the woman quieted them with a wave of her hands. "Remember, friends, we welcome those who ask about our work. You once stood in this Fae's place, unknowing but curious; newcomers need only be willing to listen."

Hiii, I am putting together an app for Viktoria (who I just love) and I have a few questions as I write. Viktoria can use her manipulation on virtually everyone in this rpg right? Or is it just humans seeing as how the desires she can manipulate are inherent human ones? Can horsemen be manipulated by each other? And lastly, can I use the 16 basic desires theory as a list of what exactly she can manipulate? I just really want to pin her down so I can expound upon her properly. Many thanks!

Hello! You can’t imagine how excited we are to know that you’re working on an app for our beloved Viktoria! Hope you’re having fun with it.

Since immortals share the desires that are within reach of Viktoria’s power, albeit to a far lesser extent than mortals, they are not immune to her influence. So, yes, I would say she can use her power on practically everyone within our cast of characters -- including the other Horsemen. I imagine it’s something that hasn’t been put to the test yet, considering how devoted and closely bonded they are, so that's certainly an interesting angle to explore in their dynamic!

When it comes to the 16 basic desires theory, I’m sorry but I can’t see it applying to Viktoria’s power. Most of the concepts it involves clash with the established limits of their influence, such as honor, independence, and status, to state a few. To apply that theory would broaden Viktoria’s power too much in my eyes, and keeping the abilities balanced and equal across our characters is something that we’re very careful to preserve!

I’ve always thought of Viktoria’s gift as a concept that relies more on headcanoned nuances and creativity rather than a strict outline, especially since their true power lies far beyond it -- but I recently answered an ask that outlines how I envision it, which you might find helpful. "Say it, I know you want to, Cupcake..." Viktoria sighed, finally giving in to her own want as well. She needed to give herself permission to grant this permission to her sub, and that had taken quite a while. "Go ahead, it's okay.." Her lips trailed lovingly over the side of Piper's face, not exactly kissing, but breathing her in at the very least. "It'd be an honor to take on that title for you, my darling.." she added before pressing it a soft kiss to her temple.

Piper stilled - she could feel her heart pounding like a drum in her chest and for a moment she could not speak as Viktoria peppered kisses along her face. She’d been fighting this back for how long now? How many times had she almost allowed the title to just slip out? She knew it, Viktoria knew it too - if this very moment was any indication. But she would never, ever cross that line without permission when she knew just how special this was.

She pressed closer to her mistress, taking on her warm and it was evident that she was nervous about this. The blonde was unsure of herself and yet there was still that longing to give in. “Mutti -” She said tentatively in their shared language as if she were testing how it sounded in her mouth at first. “Mommy.” More confidently this time there there was a confident assurance in her tone as she then reached out, grasping for Viktoria’s face and kissing her deeply.

She thought back to the Master that had said this both to Silas and the Mistress herself trying to get them into bed – separately. “Every time you repeat it in that voice I can almost smell his sickening aftershave.” The Austrian shook her head softly. “You – on the other hand, are always a bad boy.”

Silas was too busy snickering at this point to really listen to the order. And it wasn’t like he’d entirely listen anyway. “I think it’s hilarious - ha ha ha!” He couldn’t even finish what he was saying as he was too busy laughing there against the couch with his head in her lap. The words were repeating in his head again - the man having thought that would work on them was priceless enough. He only wished they’d been together when it happened. “Yep -” he nodded his head, body relaxing back out of its sudden mirth. “through and through. Is this the part where you spank me?” He smirked cheekily up at her - ever the tease as his brows rose. How she put up with him half the time he wasn’t sure.
