Sera barely had time to turn off the ATV she’d been on before she was practically stumbling off of it in her haste to find who she was looking for. Her staff was being all but impossible, and she didn’t have time to deal with yelling at them to get them under control. She had a crisis in the aviary that needed to be dealt with now. Pushing a stray lock of hair out of her face as she tried to catch her breath, her eyes finally found what she’d been looking for.
“Reid!”
Sera took off at a run, skidding to a stop in the gravel a few feet before the man. Her cheeks were red, and her eyes were wide as she looked up at him. She didn’t know who else to turn to.
“I need you with me.”
That was the closest thing to Sera saying that she needed help.
