Felix was on a comedown, which wouldn’t usually leave him so frustrated but he had absolutely no idea what he had taken the previous night. And this meant, now morning had arrived, he had absolutely no idea what he could do to make himself feel human again. He should probably be grateful that nobody had called AJ. Too many times his friend had been forced to drive him home or coerce him into drinking water, but somehow he was still managing to make himself AJ’s problem. It was the only thing he was good at, after all. He was almost certain that when the boy signed up for a flaky friendship with one of his older sisters, he hadn’t signed up to adopt a younger brother. But he couldn’t imagine his life without him. Not now.
He had rolled out of bed after three hours of sleep, let himself out of somebody’s apartment, he honestly couldn’t remember who it belonged to, and called his friend to see if he was free. He wanted something to do today, he wanted good company, and AJ was exactly that. “There has to be a coffee shop around here somewhere.” He whined, scanning the expanse of Palisades Park. “Is caffeine really too much to ask for. Isn’t there supposed to be a Starbucks on every fucking street corner?” @ayy-jayy-siciliani
