“I told this girl in my business class that her skirt was hideous yesterday and she started sobbing,” Lydia began the conversation as if that’d been a normal thing - a shrug of her shoulders as she poured themselves another glass of wine each. “And - hear me out - it was so hideous, and it’s not high school anymore, nobody should be crying over a skirt - right? I mean, I didn’t even say it like that - I was more like, I mean - what I actually said isn’t important, really. She called me a Regina George, though - which is so - inaccurate, firstly. “I have no time to be sick, so please try not to cough at all,” she snapped. She was dealing with the stress of her sick aunt and the ball approaching. There was simply no time to stay in bed. “If you are sick then you should go home. I am sure we can find another servant to take over your duties.”

headcanon; the andrews

For the most part, the Andrews are a family of very tall people. With Riley and Beverly standing at 6'2" and 5'11" respectively, William at 6'3" and Darren 5'7" (Despite being only 12 years old), every single member of the clan towers over Laura Andrews, who comes in at a measly 5'4". It's something she's always regarded with a slightly bitter taste on her tongue considering that she is almost certainly the domineering force in the household, and having to look up at someone while ordering them about does somewhat detract from the drama of the moment. For this reason, she'll often be found wearing her pointed heels around the house so as not to feel quite so inadequate when stood besides her irritatingly tall family.
