Lydia thought about what she said. Kayla was right, she felt the exact same way after her mother died. “Yeah, you’re right. I just don’t like knowing when people are in pain and not being able to do anything.”

“I’m offended that you think I’d do that to you,” Kian complained, pouting. He dropped the innocent act and shrugged, “Maybe I did. Or, or, maybe you did and you just don’t remember.” He paused. “Okay, no, I definitely ate it. Can I buy you two to make up for it?”

Lydia closed the fridge, sadly. “I knew you ate it, you can’t lie to me,” Lydia replied. “You better buy me two.”

“So your sister texted me,” Lydia said to the other. “Said she was going to beat my ass at the Stonewall verses Haileybury game.” She let out a slight laugh. “We’ll see about that.”

Kayla spluttered at her teammates words, eyes wide in shock before she started to laugh. “I was not expecting you to say that,” she shook her head in amusement. “But I am curious, what do you mean by ‘sex music’? Old school Lionel Richie or more pop like?”

“Any songs that et you in the mood for sex really,” she replied. “So like whatever you like. I have a playlist. Kian knows my playlist, so granted then he knows when I’m having sex or something. One time I played it just to get a bowl of cereal though and he thought I was having sex.”
