Sadie needed to do something, her room was spinning and the walls were closing in. She needed to distract herself some way some how. She left her room and started roaming the halls of the palace. She had been roaming for hours when she found herself in the outskirts of the palace when she saw a girl with colorful hair. and suddenly the relaxed feeling that had covered her as she walked changed to anger. “hello cara...” she said her voice low and her eye dark.

‘rocky’ was a modest way to describe the start of their marriage, a poor excuse to wrap around the way he had treated her with the firm fingers pushing against the seam of her dress and the curled fists and the insults spoken as casually as the weather. not to mention the countless days that had gone by without charles so much as sparing her a glance. it hadn’t seemed so terrible in the moment and he certainly couldn’t rack up the remorse to apologize for it now, if ever, but charles could at least internally acknowledge the fact that she might have not been deserving such treatment. ( not all the time, at best. )
he would try harder to do right by her now; a decision he had only just come to terms with regardless of the loose threats she had made weeks prior. granted, the only way charles could think to do so in this moment was to litter the span of her neck with a generous amount of kissed bruises. sucking skin between his teeth and pressing lips over the enflamed splatters as a means of appeasement. if they were going to make dates a more regular thing, charles would be damned if everyone within a twenty mile radius wasn’t fully aware that she was solely his. once finished, he pulled away to get a full view of her. charles wasn’t sure what he was meant to be feeling when he gazed upon her, but he was certain it wasn’t there.
cara could literally feel her skin throbbing from the merciless bruises he had nipped into it but she didn’t mind it, not when it meant they were bruises left in lust and not in hate. her hands fell free of his hips, laying softly against the mattress at her sides. would she would have given to know what he was thinking.. but cara know she would never have that luxury no matter how tolerable she came to be she would never have access to his mind nor his heart.. but that was something she was coming to terms with now.
she swallowed anxiously at the tightness in her throat, looking up at him from where she lay. “is my body to you liking?” she decided to ask after a beat, her voice less mousey and more flirtatious now.. truth was she was imitating the way mya spoke, the way she sounded so provocative all the time. cara just hoped she nailed it and didn’t sound silly or like she was trying to hard.
