Emily did not enjoy shopping, she did like clothes and she had a distinct style but the actual looking for clothes part did not interest her at all. Most of her clothes were gifts or ordered online, luckily her family knew her style pretty well, in a way they had helped curate it by buying most of her wardrobe. This event however required in person shopping, because she'd already ordered 7 things online all which turned out to be terrible.
She was luckily though that she knew Carmen and Carmen had good style and actually enjoyed shopping. Emily had already derailed the mission by stating that they needed coffees before they could begin but now the coffees were acquired she had no more excuses. "Okay, so my brother is getting married in two months and I need an outfit," she explained, "the colour scheme is pastels, which isn't great when you're white as a ghost with blonde hair but hey, it's his day."
