Jace was trying to burn off some stress and steam, feeling like he was starting to slip into a depressive episode, and he was trying to ignore that and delay it the best he could. He spent most of his afternoon with a punching bag, which was what he was doing when there was a knock at the door. He opened it to find Celestina. “Hey, what’s up?”

Thankfully after what had been a busy time, Tobias had managed to get a lie in on his first day off since the events of Pride. He groaned softly, hand reaching out to find Celestina, only for it to fall on an empty bed. He patted the sheets for a second before finally creaking an eye open, another huff leaving his lips. “Celestina.” He half yelled out, voice cracking due to sleep. “Where have you gone to?” He shifted to look at the clock to see just how long he’d slept in.

His days had gone by in a bit of a blur, drink being more of a constant than he liked to admit, going home to blame it on leaving do after leaving do that his friends wanted to throw him because it was the last time in a long time when they would get the opportunity. Truth was he was sat down the bar on his own, drinking until he couldn’t think any more and until it numbed the pain. Not that it ever really worked. He’d been escorted out this time, stumbling clumsily into the closest person before ending up on his back. “Shit... fuck... Sorry... My feet and brain...” He made an unclear action with his hands before sipping on his flask, eyes attempting to focus on the woman. “You good?”

“Why are you so upset?”Celestina questioned her composed tone quite a contrast to the other’s hysterics. She eyed the dead body between them and kicked at the man’s boots with her heel. “You said he was harassing you. So I did some research. He’s a serial abuser, a vocal misogynist, pretty racist - and he’s fucking ugly. As far as I’m concerned, I did you and the world a favor.” It hadn’t taken a long time to map this out, a few calls - some arsenic. And now he was dead in her penthouse. “Look -  it can’t be traced to you. I already called Loius - he’ll dispose of the body. See, easy. And now you don’t have to worry about him bothering you anymore.”
