“Oh yeah that would be my irrational need to get people to like me working on you then,” she chuckled, half-joking because there was definitely truth to that. Piper had a habit of going out of her way to be friendly just to avoid ruffling any feathers. “No, no– it’ll be fine,” Piper insisted with a wave of her hand. “You probably pop in here more often than my best friend, but her job is incredibly demanding so I get it. It’s nice though, seeing a friendly face throughout the day. I appreciate it,” she added, leading him towards the back where they could have a place to sit. “Alright if you insist,” Piper shook her head a little with another laugh. “I’m going to grab us some napkins just in case. Settle in anywhere you’d like here,” she gestured to the couches with a smile.
“Is it possible to dislike you? Because from what I’ve seen so far, I’d say it’s not.” Caspian complimented, a smile on his lips. “Oh? Well that sounds a little... concerning.” He admitted with a laugh. “Because you’d expect that of a best friend or a significant other, neither of which I fall under.” And he didn’t want to make things weird between them because he genuinely enjoyed her company. “You know, this isn’t too bad for an employee area...”
