"You okay?"
He was sat on the roof of the old factory it had been hollowed out by fire but back in the day it was quiet the busy place. He could still hear and feel the low hum of the memories, and activities there. Chicago, was in a way his city. He loved the places, the weather , the food. He could do without the people, but that went without saying. At the voice of the other he was surprised indeed. Usually, Death sought out his oldest friend. It was rare for Chuck to come find him still he offered a smile and scooted over some to make room. “I come here to center myself.” he stated softly “The stars are a bit brighter out here. It is calming.” he said with a small smile.
He tipped his head to God though even Death used the name Chuck, out of respect. “I am well enough.” he said with a small chuckle. “How about you, its not every day you simply appear, are you well Chuck ?” they were two ancient beings playing at mortality neither possessed at least not at the moment.
