"Hi," Kai said, when he saw Clara come on, holding Florence who was sleeping on his chest on the couch, some papers in his hand as he was reviewing them. He had come home early from the office after his conversation with Octavia, bringing some stuff to work on at home instead. He knew that, a lot of it was anxiety that somehow since his mother had seen Octavia, that she was going to just pop up from out of no where to take Florence, even though he knew that he had something against his father that would keep that from ever happening. "How was work?"

Seth had done a bit of research about some of his latest conquests, just trying to learn more about the woman that had so quickly let him into their beds. Amber seemed very straight forward but Clara... there was something interesting there.  As he delved deeper, he found some interesting sites, of course she had used a fake name but she would have known her body anywhere. Besides, there’s only so much you can hide your IP address when you don’t know what you are doing. After spending an afternoon perusing her collection, and pleasuring himself quite a few times to it, he printed out one of the pictures of her body, sticking it in his pocket.  He made his way through down to her flat, knocking on the door, smirking as he waited for her to answer it.

“Hey! Did you see that they got tiny toasts? I don’t know what this tomato stuff is on the top of it- like who puts salsa on a piece of toast, but whatever. I’m liking it!” Danny exclaimed as he stopped next to Clara, effectively shoving another piece of bruschetta into his mouth in one fell swoop. A few hard chews and the food was gone and he was giving the older woman a once over. “You look nice! You like dressing up all fancy or just doing it because you had to?”

“I would hate to see the damage you would do behind the wheels of one of these.” Beckett said, coming up behind the woman who had broken into his apartment the other day and who he had subsequently reinforced the behavior of with a beer. The amount of shit that Becks would give her when she would drive them was endless, mainly because he was one of the worst passenger-seat drivers in existence, but also because there was little he loved more than driving and driving fast. “I will say that you would look better in a muscle car than a sports car, love.”

Jeb didn’t like cops. At all. It was something that was never going to change. It was how he was raised, and his own experiences as a teenager did nothing but re-establish what he was brought up to believe. That didn’t mean he didn’t always feel bad about being rude to them, though.

He also knew that Clara put her neck out a lot for his family, especially for him and his brother. His attitude toward her while they were trapped in the interrogation room, while was normal for how he talked to most cops, made him feel bad. While he had his reasons for doing what he did, he knew that Clara deserved better.

So, he decided to do something nice for her. Jeb picked up two teas from the Rise and Grind - his having no less than four sugars while he just lifted a handful of packets in case Clara wanted any - and made his way to the station. He hurried through it to her office, not wanting to be seen wandering about the place, and barged into the room without knocking, not realising that he’d done it before he was already inside. “Uh,” he said, stuttering slightly, a cup in each hand as he stood in one spot, “I brought you some tea.”

Having spent some time time in the States, her family had decided to move out to her and Los Angeles after her dad had gotten a job offer.. And now they’d found this house for stupidly cheap.. Why that was they hadn’t been told but, it all seemed nice, so they never thought much off it.. The first few days had been all moving in, getting furniture etc etc.. And now on day 4, Clara’s room was finally set up and she found herself sitting in the window still, running her fingers over some parts of the window, taking a deep breath through her nose.. “This is crazy..” she muttered to herself as she looked out the window, and into the street..
