Finally, after everyone from Cole’s family had left, Rose had enough time to relax and forget how weird it felt. It was probably her ability to overthink, paranoia every time she made eye contact with someone Cole knew—which was everyone there. No matter how hard she tried to forget about the things she did, she couldn’t. “Hey,” Rose broke her concentration to look at the male, forcing a smile on her face. “I know I totally forgot about giving you the presents at my place, y’know, spending so much time with family and friends, and it was never a good time to give you them here, but...” she grabbed her purse, digging through it to find a few small to medium sized neatly wrapped boxes. One was an overly expensive watched, engraved with and R for her name and a heart next to it, and the other two were Ray-Ban sunglasses she assumed Cole would use on a daily basis. She moved the gifts to him, excited to see the reaction to each gift, even if they weren’t his favorite of the night. “I hope you like them.”
