There was a lump that formed in Gaby's throat. She wished she was better at speaking, or coming up what she wanted to say. "I-I like you." She breathed, lifting her eyes to meet theirs. She hated being so vulnerable. "Do you m-maybe like me t-to?"

"Hey, I know I have been kind of MIA lately," she said as she shifted a little nervously. "I kind of close off sometimes, I'm working on it. I-I'm really sorry."

starter: closed Gabriella wasn't entirely sure why she had agreed to come out tonight. She had a weird feeling something would happen tonight. But her cousins begged her and she decided it was probably time she go out, instead of re-watching reality tv shows. So she put on something cute, did her hair, and headed out to a club she had heard about but never been to.

Of course upon entering her situationship had clocked her almost instantly. Things had ended...poorly to say the least. "Oh god," she muttered to herself as she moved to the bar, standing beside a stranger she cleared her throat. "Sorry, this is super embarrassing but would you mind pretending to know me? I'm trying to avoid someone." She explained with a nervous laugh. @nottheemuse

Gabby didn't entirely know what to do with herself. She had only been invited to the part as a consolation. She had done the make up on the guest of honor, but she had a feeling she had only been invited in case she needed last minute touch ups. So Gabby wandered around with her drink in had. She didn't know anyone in here, and it was clear she didn't really belong. If she were a less confident person she would have been clinging to the wall.

She decided to make her way to the bar to grab another drink when she nearly walked into someone else. "Oh gosh, sorry," she said with a nervous laugh. "I guess clumsiness and a fancy soiree don't really go hand in hand." She laughed as she tried to lighten the mood. @aftermiiidniiight
