Imagine my struggle with both of your adorable faces distracting me
What, this face?
I don’t understand what you’re talking about.
@rpdsrequiem oop surprise.
Sirens pierced through the air, dogs barked loud and clear as they tugged on their leashes, buildings were on fire and people were scrambling. The city of New Devon Port was infested with zombies and while they were behind a barricade, it seemed it would not last soon. People were ushered to safety as the undead groaned and pushed.
In the midst of all the chaos, Gracie pushed her way past people and made her way into an abandoned convenience store. Surprisingly the lights were still functioning despite how most of city was blacked out. She quickly began grabbing whatever foods she found find to stuff into her backpack; apples, sandwiches, granola bars, whatever was within reach. It was when she heard heavy footsteps like that of a man in work boots enter the store. Quietly, she crouched behind some shelves as she listened close. Not to give herself away but she took a quick glance; no zombie, just a man. An older man with fine lines on his face and a worn out expression. He didn't give the impression he was a civilian however, something about the way he carried himself indicated he was here for a purpose.
@evilresiidents for leon + gracie.
It happened all so damn fast. Abbey got loose and hours later she and the others were too. All the experiments Alpha Corp. poured so much time and money into were all free.
And Abbey's handiwork was the most obvious. Vines and spores floated through the air. A trail of dead bodies was left on the floor leading to the elevator. Blood on her hands, a stain Abigail likely would never wash off and in fact wore with pride.
And Gracie hardly could blame her. It wasn't like the scientists here treated them with kindness and humanity. She took would kill if it meant freedom, if it meant escaping the clutches of this corrupt company then she'd do it in a heartbeat.
She had escaped to the basement floor, one of the very few places that still had some light. The upper floors were mostly flickering while others were completely dark. Everything was in disarray and the chaos was what allowed them to even have a chance at breaking free.
There was a man she did not recognize. He didn't look like he was from Alpha as he did not have a uniform on, mostly just regular clothes. Quietly she watched him from a hidden spot, she would have to judge whether he was trust worthy or not.
Goes up on her tippiest of tip-toes and gently pats Leon’s stubbly cheeks. They feel a bit like sandpaper.

“What’s it like, your home country, I mean.” She didn’t really know much about countries, she was just learning about things.
