Old art of Grok and Eliza that I am never going to finish so I might as well post it lol

Surprisingly enough, despite being a guy who likes to say that he’s going to use violence to solve his problems, Grok definitely follows the ‘big strong man drinking tea, reading a big book, and cutting you down with sharp wit’ trope. Its not that he won’t fight/can’t fight-its just that he’d rather avoid wasting his energy on people not worth his time.

Lol in case anyone’s wondering, WATO universe has their own version of Starbucks, (called either ‘Icarus’ or ‘Minotaur’, I can’t decide which one yet) but basically Hippo’s dad owns the franchise so Hippo technically could have chosen a life of luxury (but she wanted to earn a living instead of inheriting it. Besides, she isn’t quite as cut throat as her sister so she figured that it would be best to let her sister inherit the company). 

Puck, addicted to coffee, goes there at least once a day to get coffee (the baristas there all like him and are waiting for when he’ll ask one of them out. He won’t though just because he goes there every day and the last thing he wants to do is run into someone he had a one night stand with). 

Grok, while he likes coffee, can’t stand coffee that isn’t ‘orc made’ so he instead drives two hours every month to the next town in order to visit a shop that sells food from his country. He then spends a stupid amount of money on coffee beans and brews that every morning. 

Hippo doesn’t actually like coffee (she is a tea person) so avoids the place as often as possible.

Helena doesn’t like coffee but she does like hot chocolate so that’s what she gets when she goes there.

Eliza gets chai tea lattes (while she likes coffee she prefers coffee made by herself)..

Jerry and Ken, both coffee lovers, go there at least two times a day.

I love grok

Grok is one of those guys where he has a specific way of doing things and he thinks a lot of things here sucks (because obviously his country is the best. I mean he could fight things and no one batted an eye at it in his country.) but he loves Eliza and he knows his people (brother) would never accept her so he has resigned himself to a life of teaching high school kids English and living in the suburbs with his wife.

Eliza: Grok did you eat all the muffins.

Grok: No! How could you say such a thing! Accuse me of such a thing! Kitten, I would never, ever, not in a million years-

Eliza: You’re lying to me aren’t you-

Grok: -okay maybe just a little!

Also, it never fails to amuse me that Grok is an English High School teacher

This is my new dad

Dinner is at 6, Eliza (your new mom lol) is cooking curry, you can bring as many animals as you want into the house just make sure that a)there’s room for them/you know how to take care of them and b)they won’t hurt Toby (the toy poodle mix they adopted).
