She wasn’t kidnapped. None of her family was taken. Val didn’t have to deal with that, thankfully, but she did have to deal with the things Demeter did while inhabiting her body. Namely the people she did. Neither one of the men Demeter hooked up with were ones Valerie knew personally and she didn’t know if that made it better or worse.
When she spotted JD it was strange. Rationally she knew what happened wasn’t her fault. She didn’t really cheat on her husband, but it certainly felt like she did. “I, um, hi,” Val awkwardly started. “I feel like I should properly introduce myself after,” she shrugged gesturing vaguely, “You know...everything.”
