❝ fate will find a way / Moon Jongup x Yoon Jeonghan ❞
IT WAS Wednesday and surprisingly the weather wasn’t as bad ad the previous days, to the point Jongup finally gathered courage to leave the comfort of his flat and actually go outside, not to enjoy the timid sunshine, but actually to buy some stuff.
The Notting Hill street market was still there, just like he remembered and perhaps it was because all muggles out there had the same idea he did, it was almost packed. He could see kids running around and getting yelled by their moms, street vendors trying to sell their best products and the remarkable scents of spices, herbs and flowers around; it all made Jongup feel like he belonged there, as if he was just like them.
It had been almost seven months since he officially moved from his father’s manor to the apartment his mother left him. the fight between the two of them had come to a point where there was deny that he didn’t belong there and not even Jaewon could keep him there; leaving in the middle of the night, using a portkey Baekhyun had given him as a present, he vanished, taking with him most of his precious belongings.
The feeling of finally being alone, somewhere he could call home was terrifying at first but also comfortable. Jongup learned the basics of being by himself and it was still with his mother’s help (her money to be precise), he finally made the place his own. Hardly he would accept any of his friends from Hogwarts there for a visit (he was still scared that one day his father would show up to drag him to some kind of shady business he was running), rather having meeting with them at a restaurant or a pub.
So it was with a surprise, really shock if he stopped to think about it now, when he saw him, of all people in the world, just walking through the market, carrying a eco bag with him. at first, Jongup thought his eyes (and his heart) had been playing a trick with him, projecting images of the figure that was once part of his daily life n Hogwarts because there was no way he would be there, just like a common person, walking among muggles as if he was one of them.
However, there was no one like Jeonghan. No one would walk like that or would have the same smile and the hair color, no one would have the same slim waist and long arms or would reach out for his hidden wand when someone dropped their stuff, making some noise, startling him.
The familiar feeling of seeing Jeonghan after so long floored Jongup and he caught himself taking tentative steps to the man’s direction and before he could stop right in front of him he took a look at himself, his torn out white jeans and black turtle neck sweater weren’t the best visual choice if he knew he would see the other male, but whatever.
“Jeonghan?” he said, as he finally reached out, not invading his personal space, but placing a hand on his shoulder, asking for his attention.
