Can I help you, little girl?
krystal-ygm replied to your post: You dare me to what? [/she leaned in, her eyes narrowed before straightening up and waving frantically with a wide smile] Welcome to the family! It’s nice to see more people I can annoy around here.
Oh—and that’s exactly what I’m going to do, every time I see you. [/smiles proudly] Little do you know the ingredients she uses to make the foods she gives out. Suit yourself, I’ll just tell you now, it was nice knowing you. [/sadly shakes her head]
You're a brave one. /narrows his eyes as if suspicious, stroking his chin playfully/ Are you jealous, Krystal? Either because you want my cupcake, or you wished I liked you more.
☬ of thieves and vagabonds
Where had people's sense of solidarity gone? Was it impossible to make an effort to hold the hand of a stranger to keep them from drowning without feeling a direct threat to one's own welfare? Was it so hard to look out for anyone but themselves? Apparently it must be. She had fought it at first. God knows how long her sheer pride had kept her from realizing the bitter truth. It wasn't until she woke up yesterday, physically unable to move due to the cramps in her long empty stomach that Sohyun understood the graveness of the situation. Within a day she had been reduced to nothing but a pitiful, begging mess only to be met with... what, exactly? That's right. Nothing. People went to any length to look the completely opposite way, because if they didn't see her then by god, she didn't exist. And if she didn't exist, they wouldn't have to feel guilty for not lending that helping hand she so desperately sought after. And that's what she was right now. Desperate. Lingering in the mall by a corner which gave her a direct view over the airy restaurant she at least tried to look casual. Non-suspicious. Cool. The young girl did however feel nothing of those things she tried to portray. The nagging ache in her very core kept her from thinking rationally. All she knew was that she had to eat. No matter what, she had to feed herself. What she would do next could only be described as a bold and utterly stupid move. Desperate times called for desperate measures, did they not? Yes, they did. Not shy with using her powers she decided to shamelessly rely on it in a situation like this. Focusing in on a woman, one of the currently very few diners, Sohyun concentrated on the blood in her head. As soon as the mutant was in the right state of mind she set her plan in motion, attempting to bend the familiar substance in the stranger's head to cause a severe (yet hopefully not unrealistic) headache. If it didn't fail, her victim would surely be at least temporarily distracted by the sudden pain. Or so she hoped. The girl didn't spill any time regardless of the uncertainty surrounding her plan. Casually navigating towards the restaurant and (once reaching it) through the tables at the farthest end she decided to act as if she was just passing though. As if there was a store at the other end that had caught her immediate interest. Looking forward, almost in a furiously stubborn manner, the youngster marched on. Easy does it. Not letting her eyes stray, afraid she'd get distracted and filled with feelings of doubt if she met someone's gaze, she continued. Only a few steps now. One, two, three... four. Sohyun reached out with her hand as quickly as she could when she reached the table the woman sat by, aiming to grab something, anything, on her plate and then make a run for it. It didn't matter how much she got. She just needed a mouthful. Just a bite.
