Laura thanked him for starting the bath, kissing him back before letting herself sink into the hot water. The ironic part was that she had grown up with people spoiling her just because she was a Darcy, and she’d done everything she could to get away from it. Of course her parents had cut her off after she had dated her ex girlfriend, even know they only let her move home because she admitted to them that dating a girl had been wrong.
Taking a sip of her wine, she put the glass down on the side of the tub, sinking her head under the water. Her life was such a mess. She was thirty three, living at home with her parents and she’d never even had a real job. That wasn’t even mentioning the Antonio thing. How could she tell Larry about Antonio? She couldn’t handle the thought of putting him in danger.
When she finally got too pruney for her liking, she got out of the tub and drained the water, chugging the rest of her glass of wine. Wrapping a towel around her, she moved into the living room giving Larry a small smile. “Do you have anything I can wear?”
