With her last set for the night done and over with, Sofie sat at a mirror in the dressing room, staring straight at her reflection. When she was on stage, the music blasting around her, it was easy to forget everything that happened. But even with the muted music reverberating against the walls, her brain was too loud. She reached into her bag and pulled out the flask tucked into a side pocket....only to find it was completely empty. With a loud groan, she pushed herself up out of the chair and made her way to the door. If she was out of her own booze she sure as hell wasn’t drinking on her own dime.
Walking into the crowded club, her eyes latched onto one table with a very familiar face sitting at it, his own gaze locked on the dancers in front of him. Pulling back the chair beside him, Sofie reached for the half full bottle sitting on the table before she bothered addressing Laurent.
“Got any room for me?”

I thought I wanted a career; turns out all I wanted was paychecks.
I know how you feel. I guess that means we’re looking into the wrong careers.
